About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Information Gathering:

Conduct thorough and systematic research using various sources, including databases, open-source information, proprietary data, and other intelligence resources.

Data Analysis:

Analyze collected data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that could have strategic implications for the organization.

Intelligence Generation:

Synthesize complex information into concise and actionable intelligence reports, presentations, and briefings for internal stakeholders.

Risk Assessment:

Evaluate potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities by analyzing external factors and internal processes, assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.

Competitor Analysis:

Monitor competitors' activities and strategies, providing insights to enhance our competitive position in the market.

Trend Identification:

Identify emerging industry trends and developments, offering strategic recommendations to capitalize on opportunities or mitigate challenges.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, and operations, to provide intelligence-driven support and contribute to strategic planning.

Technology Utilization:

Leverage cutting-edge tools, software, and methodologies to enhance research efficiency and the accuracy of intelligence analysis.

Report Dissemination:

Present findings and insights to stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and verbal briefings, tailored to the target audience.

Continuous Learning:

Stay current with industry trends, geopolitical developments, and new analytical techniques to improve the quality and depth of intelligence analysis.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position based In Auckland. The Researcher/Intelligence Analyst will report to the Chief Operations Officer. Occasional travel may be required for conferences, training, and collaboration with external partners.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics) is required.


  • Master's degree is a plus.


    Experience:

  • Proven experience as a researcher, intelligence analyst, or in a related role, demonstrating the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data.


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically, connect dots, and draw insights from disparate information sources

  • Proficiency in using intelligence tools, data visualization software, and advanced research methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in collaborative settings.

    Familiarity with geopolitical trends, international affairs, security issues, and business intelligence is a plus.

  • Ethical conduct and a commitment to handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

    Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
